Early in life I discovered that what I experience on the surface is a mere fraction of what I am. Memories and a myriad of connections and synapses form an intricate web of sounds, sights, smells, and feeling. Were these impressions mere fantasy? A portion of reality? An elaborate waking dream state? I was compelled to examine and explore how this complicated collection of multi-sensory, multidimensional impressions resolves in the formation of an apparently unified being, and to consider why these impressions were appearing, apparently independently of surface experiential activity. My earliest and most poignant memories originate in this arena, and form the basis of all of my creative activity.
